How often should sealant be applied?
Every 2 to 3 years on average. New asphalt should first cure for 12 to 24 months before the first application. In Quebec the ideal season runs from May to October, in dry weather.
How long before I can drive on the surface?
Allow 24 to 48 hours of drying before driving on it, depending on the weather. On foot, a few hours are usually enough.
Does sealant repair cracks?
No — sealant protects, it doesn’t fill. That’s why we first fill cracks with hot rubber, then apply the sealant. The combination gives the best protection.
How does maintenance compare to repaving in cost?
Regular maintenance (sealcoating and crack filling every 2-3 years) costs a fraction of a repave and can extend your asphalt’s life by years — up to 70% savings over the life cycle.
